10:45-11:15 Outside weather permitting or indoor movement activities
11:15-11:45 Choice time
11:45-12:00 Closing meeting, half-day dismissal
12:00-12:30 Lunch
12:30-1:30 Rest/quiet time
1:30-2:30 Activity center choices
2:30-3:15 Outside
3:15-3:45 Snack, story
3:45-4:15 Weekly theme enrichment activity
4:15-5:00 Activity center choices
5:00-5:30 Table games, end-of-the-day work jobs
MEETING TIME: Introduction and sharing of weekly theme, plans & choices, calendar and job charts.
WEEKLY THEME ACTIVITY PERIOD: A balance of teacher-directed and independent activities is offered. Language, math, science, art, and music experiences will be included appropriate to each age level.
CHOICE TIME: Housekeeping, blocks, water/sand play, and activity centers are available for independent play and exploration.
* All groups participate in the basic components of the daily routine, but follow a rotating schedule to allow for smaller group usage of the playgrounds and activity centers.
